With the exception of the Scheide and Cotsen Children's Libraries, no appointment is necessary to use our holdings, but registration, including the presentation of photo identification (e.g., a driver's license) is required on arrival.
The Department's collections do not circulate outside our reading rooms, but photoduplication services are available. A reference librarian or archivist is on duty at all times, and curatorial assistance is available on request. Researchers should feel free to contact us prior to their visit with any questions they may have.
