Short Introduction

A museum covering 7 floors including 3 cinemas, 2 special exhibition galleries and a research and collections centre.

Muybridge highlights include a replica of the zoopraxiscope machine and various collotypes and stereoscopic prints. 314 collotypes are on loan from Kingston Museums and 9 are on loan from The British Kinematograph Society. 100 collotypes reside in the permanent collection (part of the Royal Photographic Society Collection). There are also 12 Stereoscopic images and 3 glass positives available here, as well as 2 rare books by Muybridge himself.
