Short Introduction

Comprising of 89 locations, the New York Public Library includes 4 research centres as well as local neighborhood libraries.

The Muybridge collection contains 180 stereoscopic slides of images that Muybridge took in California, an albumen panorama of San Francisco and 8 films concerning Muybridge.

The vast majority of Muybridge stereoscopes have been digitized and are available on NYPL’s Digital Gallery.
