Short Introduction

The Harvard Fogg Art Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 250,000 works and 10 curatorial departments, including a Department of Photographs that holds a rich collection of fine art and social documentary photography.

Muybridge material includes 12 prints on paper, 8 collotypes and 4 stereoscopic images. Muybridge's motion sequences of animals and the human body, as well as landscape in the Yosemite and Sierra Nevada mountains can be found here.

Fogg Art Museum building is currently closed for renovation through late-2013. Arthur M. Sackler Museum, open Monday–Saturday: 10am–5pm, Sunday: 1–5pm, closed on major national holidays.
