Short Introduction
The Chrysler Museum of Art holds almost 40,000 objects spanning 5,000 years.
The Muybridge collection here consists of 3 prints, two of which are collotypes from Animal Locomotion, the third an albumen print from Attitudes of Animals in Motion.
There are numerous books concerning Muybridge and his work here, as well as newspaper articles, journal articles and other published items.

Currently, all Muybridge works are in storage and require an appointment for viewing. You can schedule a viewing with the Registrar via email (mmarder@chrysler.org ) or phone (757-965-2030) during the hours of 8:30-5pm, Monday-Friday.
